On September 24, 2026, we held a large-scale Sokyokushin Karate competition for women in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. The tournament included all different age categories and both Kata and Kumite divisions, with the participation of 1,020 fighters and competitors.
One of the main objectives of organizing this important event was to demonstrate the strength, development, and capabilities of the Sokyokushin Karate Organization of Iran among the various Full Contact and Kyokushin organizations active in Iran.
Another important objective was to identify and select members of the Iranian Sokyokushin Women’s National Team, who will represent Iran at the Sokyokushin World Championship in Japan next year.
Despite all the challenges and difficult circumstances, we continue our activities with determination and commitment to develop and expand Sokyokushin Karate not only throughout Iran, but also across the Middle East.
The tournament was organized under the leadership of Shihan Vahid Bahraman, President of Sokyokushin Karate Iran, together with Shihan Mobina Aziz-Zadeh, Vice President of Women’s Sukyokushin Karate Iran, as well as Shihan Alijan Khodadadi, Shihan Morteza Rastgarnia, and many other Shihans and Senseis of Sokyokushin Karate Iran.
We are very proud of the dedication and efforts of all our Shihans, Senseis, coaches, referees, representatives, and athletes who contributed to making this event a successful and significant tournament.
Our goal is to continue working sincerely and strongly for the growth and development of Sokyokushin Karate, and to make an even greater contribution to the international Sokyokushin community.
With deepest respect and Osu,
