On April 25–26, 2026, the Tulpar Sports Complex in Kazan hosted a large-scale Kyokushin Kaikan sporting event—the Russian Championship and Junior Championship. It was organized by the Russian National Karate Federation Kyokushin Kaikan under the leadership of the President of the RNKKK, Branch Chief of Russia, Shihan Ilsur Fazdalov, and the Vice President of the RNKKK, Shihan Azat Fazdalov.
More than 27 clubs from the Chelyabinsk, Samara, Kurgan, and Tyumen regions, Perm Krai, Bashkortostan, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow and the Moscow region, Izhevsk, the Smolensk and Ivanovo regions, Kazan, and the Republic of Tatarstan competed for 67 sets of kumite awards, 33 sets of kata awards, and 12 sets of group kata awards. A total of over 300 athletes participated in the tournament.
Karate is not only a sport, but also a philosophy that instills respect, discipline, and self-control—the best qualities athletes should possess. Those who stepped onto the tatami were already winners. Participating in the competition not only reveals the strongest athletes but also provides a wonderful opportunity for participants from different cities to get to know each other and become closer. And this wasn’t just a sport—it was a true celebration of strength, will, and friendship!
Before the competition, the leading team coaches and their assistants were presented with letters of gratitude for their significant personal contribution to the development and popularization of Kyokushin Kaikan karate and sports in Russia.
