Special edition of the 2024 Drawing Competition by So-Kyokushin Spain and the Semper Fidelis Karate Academy.
This year’s edition has been very special, both for our young So-Kyokushin Spain followers and for the Semper Fidelis Karate Academy.
In this new edition of the Drawing Competition,
we asked the President of IKO So-Kyokushin Hanshi Daigo Ohishi for permission for our students to draw his portrait.
The students were inspired by the photographs of Hanshi Daigo Ohishi, to draw him using different color and monochrome techniques.
Once the deadline for submitting the drawings had ended, we digitized all the submitted works and sent them to Japan so that Hanshi could evaluate and choose, from among all the drawings made, the winning drawing.
The final verdict of Hanshi Daigo Ohishi, came accompanied with a nice personal note signed by the President of our organization: “(…) I am very happy that you held such a good contest and that so many children participated. There were so many unique drawings that it was very difficult to choose, but I chose one. Please continue working hard on your Keiko in the Dojo, as well as in this contest….”
The winner chosen by Hanshi Daigo Ohishi was our young student Didac Benedito Bernal, 13 years old.
Didac received a nice gift from the Dojo Semper Fidelis and a t-shirt with the winning drawing.
The ages of the participants ranged between 5 and 14 years old.
We must highlight that both the participants and So-Kyokushin Spain, are very grateful to Hanshi Daigo Ohishi and the Honbu So-Kyoushin Japan for collaborating in this nice Contest with our young students, who are the future of Kyokushin.
